4 New expressways will be built in Bihar, route map along with DPR will also be ready


 


Patna. A network of expressways will be laid in Bihar in the coming few years. With this, the distance from Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal can be covered in just a few hours. State Road Construction Minister Nitin Navin has given important information regarding the construction of the expressway in the Legislative Council. The four expressways (4 New Expressways) will be constructed under Bharatmala Phase-2. The Minister told during the debate in the Legislative Council that under Bharatmala Project Phase-2, Gorakhpur-Siliguri Greenfield Expressway, Varanasi-Kolkata Greenfield Expressway, Raxaul-Haldia Expressway and Patna-Ara-Sasaram Greenfield Expressway would be built. Will be done. Nitin Naveen gave this information in the Upper House in response to a question. With the construction of the expressway, vehicles will be able to ply at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. It will be possible to complete the distance of hundreds of kilometers in just a few hours.


Nitin Naveen told the House that a 416 km long state-of-the-art road would be constructed in Bihar under the Gorakhpur-Siliguri Greenfield Expressway. This expressway will start from Eastern Uttar Pradesh and will go through North Bihar till Siliguri in West Bengal. With this, there is full hope of promoting trade and business along with traffic. He told that the Varanasi-Kolkata Greenfield Expressway will go through Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad and Gaya in Bihar to Kolkata. On the other hand, Raxauli-Haldia Greenfield Expressway will connect port city Haldia via East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali and Banka in the state. With the construction of this expressway, transportation of goods will become much easier.


Patna-Ara-Sasaram Expressway

The Road Construction Minister of Bihar told in the House that Greenfield Expressway would also be constructed to connect Patna-Ara-Sasaram. To connect it with the Ara Ring Road, a 12 km long connecting road will be built at a cost of Rs 381 crore. Apart from this, with the financial support of ADB, 9 major roads will be repaired and widened. With this, a network of all-weather roads will be laid in this area.


Stadiums in 168 Blocks

The Minister of Art, Culture and Youth, Dr. Alok Ranjan told in the Legislative Council that the work of stadium construction has been completed in 168 blocks. Stadiums are being constructed in the remaining 84 blocks. The process of constructing 101 stadiums has been started. He said that under the Mukhyamantri Khel Vikas Yojana, multi gym, open gym equipment and sports equipment have been installed in 36 districts. An amount of 6.82 crore has been approved for this in the last years. The minister also informed about the development of art culture, development of museums and other schemes in the state.
