A photo of Shah Rukh Khan has surfaced on social media in which the Bollywood superstar is seen offering prayers at Mecca with his wife Gauri Khan and their elder son, Aryan Khan. In the picture, Gauri is seen wearing a black kurti and a grey hijab. On the other hand, King Khan looks sombre in a white kurta. Aryan can also be seen standing behind them.

With the viral picture, many claimed that SRK and his family welcomed the new year in Mecca. Not just this, some even claimed that the actor’s wife, Gauri has also converted to Islam. However, the truth behind the viral photo is now out.

As reported by NDTV, the viral picture of the Khan family at the Mecca is fake. Reportedly, it has been created using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan is a Muslim, whereas Gauri was born in a Punjabi Hindu family. Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan tied the knot in 1991. They have three children – Aryan, Suhana Khan, and AbRam Khan.

In 2005, Gauri appeared on Koffee With Karan when she opened up about her religious identity after marriage and said, “There is a balance. I respect Shah Rukh’s religion, but that doesn’t mean I would convert and become a Muslim. I don’t believe in that. Everyone is an individual and follows their religion. Of course, there should be mutual respect. Shah Rukh would never disrespect my religion, and I wouldn’t disrespect his."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in King. The film will also star his daughter Suhana Khan in the lead. Besides this, Munjya star Abhay Verma is also likely to be a part of this project. No detail about the film’s plot or its release date has been revealed as of now.
